Yalla, a Los Angeles-based fast-casual chain that focuses on environmentally friendly foods has been bought by the owner of the Fatburger chain.

FAT Brands, which stands for “fresh, authentic, and tasty,” takes over the chain which has seven stores in California, including one in the Old Ranch Town Center.   Yalla was previously known as Daphne’s California Greek before rebranding in 2015 and early 2016.

Yalla,  known for traditional Mediterranean flavors on a salad, plate or in a wrap will be the seventh for FAT Brands, which has been rapidly expanding this year.
