Volunteers Needed for Senior Grocery Program


Volunteers are needed for the Senior Grocery Program offered by the City of Los Alamitos Recreation and Community Services department.

Second Harvest Food Bank and Feeding America provides free groceries to senior citizens and low-income families in the community.

Upcoming program dates include February 5, March 5 and 19, April 2 and 16, May 14, and June 4 and 18.

Volunteers are needed from 11:00am-12:45pm in order to set up, provide friendly customer service, and assist in food distribution. To volunteer or for more information, please contact the Community Center at (562) 430-1073 or visit www.cityoflosalamitos.org/recreation.

Grocery distribution takes place from 11:30am-12:30pm at the Los Alamitos Community Center and consists of fresh produce, deli, dairy products, and more. No income requirements or registration necessary.
