Galvanizing right before coach Gayne Kobayashi’s eyes, Quinn Waiki helped pace Hilo’s 15-hit attack with a double and two singles Friday, and Clemson Julian and four relievers combined on a six-hit shutout as the Hilo Bronco All-Stars belted Los Alamitos, Calif., 10-0, remaining undefeated at the PONY West Zone baseball tournament in Whittier, Calif.

In Mustang all-star Western Zone play, which is happening at the LAYB Fields, the host LAYB all-stars have won their first two games to earn a spot in tonight’s upper bracket final.  So far the locals defeated Cache Valley, Utah 13-8 and then outlasted East Long Beach 8-7.  East LB and Cache Valley play this morning with the winner earning a rematch with Los Al at 3pm.
