New commander takes charge of Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station in traditional military ceremony

One of the West Coast’s most important Naval bases — responsible for weapons storage, as well as loading and maintenance of ships in the United States Pacific Fleet — has a new commander.

Capt. Jason Sherman took charge of Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach last Friday,, one of the US Navy’s key weapons supply commands.  Sherman replaced Capt. Noel Dahlke, base commander since 2016, in a very traditional change of command ceremony which was detailed by the OC Register.
