CBS2: Sea Turtle Rescued From Power Plant Intake Site Released After Being Nursed Back To Health

A 50-pound giant green sea turtle that was rescued three weeks ago is once again back in Pacidic Ocean waters , thanks to the workers at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.  The turtle, which was rescued in late July from a power plant intake site at Morro Bay, was nursed back to health at the Aquarium.  After it was released yesterday onto the sands of Seal Beach by the rocks of the San Gabriel River jetty, the appreciative crowd of observers and photographers on the rocks watched the turtle scurry into the salty water and disappear below the surface.
