Nurses walk off the job in Los Alamitos amid contract talks

In a loud protest to draw attention to “inadequate staffing which impacts patient care,” nurses at Los Alamitos Medical center and seven other facilities statewide participated in a one-day strike of Tenet-operated hospitals.

One local doctor ironically noted on social media that the strikers were so loud with their chants over bullhorns, drums and urging drivers passing by on Katella that they disrupted their preparations for surgeries that morning.  Others alleged that many of the strikers were not local nurses but bussed in by union organizers.
