Once again, Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails in Los Alamitos committed to donating 25 cents to the Los Alamitos Education Foundation (LAEF) for every scoop of ice cream served in 2019. LAEF recently learned that Mama’s served nearly 12,000 scoops of Thirty Ice Cream over the past year!
On January 22nd, Mama’s co-owner Robert Corrigan presented LAEF with a check for $3,000! LAEF President Kevin Guetig accepted the check along with Vice President Brian Leibl, Treasurer Tom Lent, Executive Director Carrie Logue with daughter Annika Logue, and Directors Felicia Gonzalez, Leanne Voigt and Janelle Sagen.
“LAEF is grateful for the continued partnership with Mama’s and their commitment to supporting the kids of the Los Alamitos Unified School District,” said LAEF Executive Director Carrie Logue. With support from community organizations such as Mama’s, LAEF can continue to provide free after-school global language classes, support the salaries of district mental health counselors and continue promoting STEAM education and annual STEAM Fairs benefiting every student in every school within the Los Alamitos School District.
LAEF is the non-profit partner of Los Alamitos Unified School District. LAEF enhances educational excellence by providing after-school and summer enrichment programs to children in grades Pre-K to 12. LAEF provides significant funding for STEAM teachers and instruction, as well as igniting new programs and providing valuable resources, to impact all students.
