The Los Alamitos Youth Center is proud to announce that after only one week of fundraising through their annual Community Support Campaign, they have raised over $70,000! The campaign goal this year is $150,000. This year’s campaign theme is “Keeping Kids Healthy and Safe”. It began on February 27 and will run through March 27. The 2021 campaign will culminate in a safe, socially distanced Bollywood Experience at the Old Ranch Country Club on March 27, 2021.
Since attending an ordinary Gala is not an option during a pandemic, the Youth Center has created a safe, socially distanced event to cap off it’s 2021 Community Support Campaign. Guest arrival times will be pre-scheduled to ensure there will be no crowds. Upon check-in, guests will have an opportunity to have their photo taken, enjoy cocktails, live music, silent auction, appetizers, learn about Indian art, taste Indian cuisine, receive free giveaways and more! Every experience is located in a different room that provides private adventures, utilizing for the first time, the downstairs and upstairs rooms and patio, overlooking the beautiful golf course, with plenty of photo opportunities and a chance to learn about Indian culture. A private table for each group of guests will be set. Guests will enjoy their choice of a delicious truffle New York Steak dinner or a traditional Indian meal, upon request.
“The pandemic has been a dark period for many, and we are determined to bring color, light, and celebration of culture to all of our event attendees,” said Lina Lumme, Executive Director of The Youth Center. “Every penny raised will benefit children through the Youth Center’s programs, scholarships, and enrichment opportunities,” she concluded.
